Wine Making
Vinyard Wine Maker Vinification
Borges Reserva wines sum up the tradition and know-how of Borges in the production of quality wines.
These wines are from two of the oldest and most emblematic winemaking regions in Portugal - Douro and Dão – which are known for the extraordinary characteristics and quality of their wines. The Borges Verde Reserva is a recent endeavour that aspires to contribute to the notoriety of the Vinhos Verdes region as a quality winemaker".

Total destemming of grapes and gentle crushing. Brief pre-fermentation maceration followed by pomace fermentation for 6-8 days at a controlled temperature of between 22-24'C with fairly frequent pumping over. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine was separated from the solids with which it fermented and malolactic fermentation was induced. All of the wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
